In these pieces I am transferring the ‘nature’ of the natural tree branch using the vocabulary of the flat screen, connected to the idea of ‘visual disturbance’ – from analog TV to computer screens. My interest lies in the ambiguity of spatial representation between 2 and 3 dimensions, emphasizing the silhouette of the positive and negative to expand on the idea that these are 3 dimensional interpretations of a 2 dimensional aboration.
